Youth of Christ Church
Our youth have so much to offer with their unique skills and gifts. Our youth program at Christ Church is focused around fostering those skills and gifts by developing mature faith through relevant and authentic conversation, forming strong community, and servant leadership. We worship together on Sundays at 9 am and have opportunities to engage in service or fellowship during the Christian Formation Hour from 10:15-11:15 am.
On any given week, you will see youth singing in the choir, serving as acolytes, offering readings in worship, leading Children's Chapel, and much more! Christ Church strives to offer something for everyone. Please use the links below to find out more about ways you can get you and your youth involved today!

Youth and Adult help is almost always needed at any special events outside of Thursday evenings or in place of Sunday morning gatherings. Contact Lisa Brown at lbrown@christchurchgp.org to help make these events as successful as possible!
"Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young.
Be an example to all believers in what you say,
in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."
– 1 Timothy 4:12

Youth in Worship

“Worship the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind,
and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.”
– Mark 9:37 NRSV
Acolytes and Readers
Grade 2 and above
Worship is best when we are more than merely present. As part of our community, it is important for our children to serve in meaningful ways as well. All children, 3rd grade and above, are encouraged to be a part of our worship life as members of our acolytes and reader teams which serve once every few weeks. Young children begin as Gospel Bearers and graduate to become Torch Bearers, Readers, Crucifers, and Thurifers through the years. (And yes, it’s possible to be both an acolyte and a chorister!)

Youth in Service

Sundays: 10:15–11:15 am | Thursdays: 6–8 pm
Our youth learn in a multitude of ways – and there is no better way to learn to love our neighbor than by putting our hands and hearts to work. Throughout the year we organize hands-on projects to put love and learning together.

Youth Together

We all need community; especially our youth – a community of kindness and challenge and promise and grace. Not only is genuine friendship woven into our learning and serving opportunities, we bring our youth together throughout the year for play and fun and food with one simple purpose: to build bonds of friendship. We are, after all, better together.
Watch for special events for our youth!
