Scott Hanoian

Director of Music and Organist
Scott Hanoian joined Christ Church as the 8th Director of Music and Organist in 2007 and is responsible for continuing the tradition of musical excellence at Christ Church Grosse Pointe. As the Director of Music, Mr. Hanoian directs the church's three liturgical choirs, the Choir of Men and Boys, the Choir of Men and Girls, the Christ Church Schola, as well as the Christ Church Chorale, and oversees the yearly concert series. Mr. Hanoian is also an active organist, accompanist, continuo artist, conductor, choral adjudicator, and guest clinician.

Jackson Merrill
Assistant Director of Music and Organist
Jackson Merrill began his role of Assistant Director of Music and Organist in August of 2021. Mr. Merrill's responsibilities in the music department include organ accompaniment and performance, chorister recruitment and training, overseeing the maintenance of our many musical instruments, and assisting in the day-to-day running of the choir and music events. Outside of Christ Church, he is active as a concert and collaborative performer and serves as Sub-Dean of the Detroit Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
