Crossroads Soup Kitchen We will be preparing and serving lunch at Crossroads Sunday, February 8. There are two time slots available to volunteer: 8:30-11:30am to prepare, and 11:30am - 3:00pm to serve. To volunteer, contact Ted Hagan
Summer Mission Trip The registration deadline of Sunday, February 1, is quickly approaching for this year's mission trip to Pittsburgh. We are looking for current 6th-12th grade youth to join us. The cost is $125/person. Register today! Contact Christian Hansen at 313.885.4841 x 104.
Breakfast Sandwich Sundays February 1, and March 1, after the 8:00am Service in the Undercroft. Our Youth Group will be making and serving breakfast sandwiches for two Sundays. Stop by after service and enjoy breakfast while supporting their fundraiser.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Talent Show Tuesday, February 17, 5:30-7:30pm. Undercroft. Join us for this fun and entertaining youth fundraising event that will help uncover some hidden Christ Church talent! All ages are welcome and encouraged to perform and share your talent(s) with the rest of our church family- plus, enjoy a pancake supper. Feast of the Presentation Sunday, February 1 at 4:30pm. A Candlemas procession followed by a Solemn Holy Eucharist celebrating the Eve of the Presentation of Jesus Christ in the Temple. Featuring Mozart's Mass in C Major, K.220. The Choir of Men & Girls with Orchestra performs. Free & open to the public.
Feast of the Annunciation Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm. Solemn Holy Eucharist celebrating the revelation to Mary by the Angel Gabriel that she would connceive the child Jesus. The Choir of Men and Girls performs. Free and open to the public.
Mozart Requiem Palm Sunday, March 29 at 4:30pm. The Christ Church Choirs, Soloists, and Orchestra perform. Freewill offering.
Choral Evensong - Sundays at 4:30pm. The choirs offer sung prayers to God on behalf of the people of God. Free and open to the public. A reception follows the service.

2014-2015 Program Year Our new season of Christian Formation programming has begun with Sunday School and the Rector's Forums running from 10:10 to 11am and many additional opportunities for Christian Education, Worship, Stewardship and Outreach throughout week. Read the letter from Fr. Drew
Rector's Forums are offered on Sunday mornings, 10:10 to 11am in the Undercroft (September through May) as an opportunity to live into our commitment to the lifelong process of Christian Formation. All are welcome and encouraged to attend so that we might grow in relationship with God and one another.

The Catechumenate: Forming Disciples in Christ Wednesdays, October 1 through May 13 - 6:30pm in the Undercroft. Lead by: Fr. Drew and the Clergy of Christ Church. The Catechumenate is an intensive 26-week class for adults offering formation in the basics of Christian faith and practice in the context of the Anglican tradition. Learn More
Newcomers' Class Sundays, 10:10-11:00am Are you new to Christ Church and do you want to know more? Are you interested in joining the Christ Church community? This 3-session class, offered in the fall and spring, will provide a brief introduction to life at Christ Church. Learn More
Opportunity to Serve: Front Office Receptionist Serve as a warm and welcoming presence for our visitors We already have some wonderful and dedicated volunteers but there are a couple days in the week that need to be filled: Tuesday mornings from 9:00am to noon and Friday from 11:00am to 2pm. Duties: Answer phones, check messages, locate staff as needed, and greet visitors. If you are interested please contact Maryann DeAngelo at x107.

Memorials A great way to give thanks for our loved ones is to make an altar flower contribution in their name. The suggested contribution is $60. Contact Maryann DeAngelo to schedule a memorial.
Reserving Space for an Event In an effort to ensure that events are planned well in advance, and to eliminate scheduling conflicts, requests for room reservations must be received at least 21 days in advance of the event. Submitted forms are reviewed at the weekly staff meeting. You will be notified within 24 hours after a decision has been made. You can complete a "green" sheet HERE.
Pastoral Care Visits If you know of individuals that are housebound or in need of pastoral visits, please contact MaryAnn DeAngelo in the church office at 313.885.4841 ext. 107.
Alzheimer's Support Group All who are coping with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and dementia are welcome to attend this group at any time to find comfort and practical help. The group meets every third Thursday in the Undercroft.
