The Rev. Walter B. A. Brownridge

Fr. Walter Brownridge is an Episcopal (Anglican) Priest from the Diocese of Maryland. He is currently on a sabbatical while tending to his 95–year-old father. He most recently served as the Dean of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Honolulu, Hawaii from 2011-2016. As Dean he provided vision and leadership for the mission, programs, and staff of the largest congregation in Diocese of Hawaii. While representing the Cathedral’s ministry & mission to the city and beyond, during Dean Brownridge the Cathedral’s Average Sunday Attendance increased by 25%.

Prior to entering seminary to study for the Episcopal Priesthood, Dean Brownridge practiced law for ten years serving as a federal prosecutor and in the area of public policy. Walter has been married since 1982 to his wife, Christina Nader – Brownridge. They are the parents of two sons. They are the parents of two sons, Alec Thurgood, a graduate of Brown University currently a corporate consultant, and Martin Desmond, a student at Georgetown University.

They are the parents of two sons: Alec Thurgood - born in 1990, a graduate of Brown University and an Analyst for the KIPP Schools of Austin, TX; and Martin Desmond - born in 1995, a graduate of Georgetown University who works for Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco.
