Rev. Vicki began serving as Associate for Parish Life and Christian Formation at Christ Church on November 1, 2015. Prior to coming to Christ Church, Grosse Pointe, Rev. Vicki served as Assistant To The Rector for three years at St. Philip’s In The Hills, a vibrant parish in Tucson, Arizona. At St. Philip’s, she shared in serving liturgically and providing and coordinating pastoral care. In addition, she worked closely with the evangelism/parish life and pastoral care ministry teams and served in community wide interfaith councils. Prior to serving in Arizona, Rev. Vicki earned her Anglican Studies Certificate at Virginia Theological Seminary, during which she served as Seminarian at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia. Rev. Vicki also served as a Chaplain Resident for one year at Spartanburg Regional Hospital, South Carolina (Level One Trauma Center), and as an Ministry Intern at Holy Family Episcopal in Mills River, North Carolina. She earned her Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology (Denver, Colorado) 2007 where she met her now partner, Leah.
Born and raised in Southern California, Vicki was active in what might be called “church of the outdoor sports,” including tree-climbing, swimming and horseback riding. After completing a B.S. Degree in Business Administration, her first career was as an information technology project manager. Vicki is married to Leah, who is UCC clergy and passionate about food security and faith responses. Vicki and Leah enjoy running, hiking (getting outdoors!) and playing scrabble. They look forward to being with each of you and experiencing God’s Love together.
