Volunteer Opportunities:

• Altar Guild Member – Prepare for services by setting out the appropriate linens and vessels, wine, water and wafers. Contact Lynnette Iannace
  
  
• Greeters – Friendly, outgoing people are needed to serve as the church's hosts and hostesses by welcoming visitors, new members and parishioners at church services and other events. Service once every 6-10 weeks. Contact Lorraine Phelan or Jacqueline Wilkinson.
  
  
• High School Pizza Workers – Greet, take orders, and serve pizza at this ministry to the students of Grosse Pointe South High School every Thursday that school is in session. Contact Ben Daume, coordinator, at 313.808.1303.
  
  
• Lectors – Readers are needed to read the lessons and/or the Prayers of the People during services. Lectors read approximately once every 2-3 months at either the 9 or 11:15 am service. All readers from upper elementary age are welcome to participate. Training is offered. Contact Maryann DeAngelo
  
  
• MOPS Shepherds -Assist with childcare during MOPS meetings the first and third Monday of the month, Sept. 19 through June 4, 9:15 to 11:30am. By volunteering one day a month, a semester or a year you will give our moms a much-needed break and time for spiritual renewal. To respond, contact Alana Sabol .
  
  
• Music Events Volunteers - Ever wanted to join the choir, but can't carry a tune? Love music, but can’t read a note? Missed the music events because you didn't know about them? This is a chance to get involved and be part of the team. Participating will provide you with new friendships. Serve as an Usher, Greeter or Encore Party host for the Music Events on Sundays at 4:30 pm, September through June. • New Member Ministry – Serve as a mentor or "shepherd" to each visitor or new member to assist them in becoming fully integrated into the life of the parish. Contact Bill Matthews for more information.
  
  
• Receptionist - Answer phones and greet visitors at our front office, mornings, afternoons or all day. Contact Maryann DeAngelo.
  
  
• Ushers – Greet, seat and give directions or aid to parishioners and guests for services, concerts, funerals, and other church events. Contact John Snyder at 313.885.6388.
